Implementation of Programmes for the Construction of New Sports Facilities and Reconstruction, Sanitation and Adaptation of Existing Sports Facilities

26th August 2009 - Preparations for the implementation of programmes for the construction of new sports facilities and reconstruction, sanitation and adaptation of existing sports facilities are under way in the Sector for project management. For the purpose of timely submitting of required documentation for programme selection, interested municipalities, towns and institutions (schools and public enterprises) are invited to prepare and submit required documentation to the Ministry of Youth and Sport – Sector for project management- till November 15 2009 at the latest. The documentation consists of the Application for financing programmes for construction of sports facilities of interest to the Republic of Serbia (OPP-1), published on the Ministry of Youth and Sport website.

 

Sports facilities are one of the priorities of the Sports development strategy. Due to the fact that the majority of them are in poor condition and neglected, it is necessary to keep planned and systematic investing in construction and reconstruction of sports infrastructure all over Serbia. Sports development strategy of the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2009-2013 (The Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia No 110/08) defined that the strategic commitment of the state was to revitalize the existing sports facilities where it is possible, and also to build new ones.
