Minister States One-time Aces will not be Forgotten

29th January 2010 -  The Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic Markovic visited Natalija Lukovic, once second best volleyball player of the world and the captain of the first national volleyball team who won medals at big competitions. She is accommodated in geriatric ward “Bezanijska kosa”.

Meeting of Committee of National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for Youth and Sport Held in Kragujevac

15th December 2009 -  The committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for Youth and Sport met on 10 December at City Hall in Kragujevac. The chairman of the committee was Milan Vuckovic, and the meeting was attended by the Assistant Minister for Youth Snezana Klasnja, Head of department for youth cooperation of the Ministry of Youth and Sport Zorica Labudovic, members of the city council of Kragujevac Branko Krsmanovic and Slavica Saveljic, a representative of the regional youth office in Kragujevac Brankica Pavicevic with her associates, the representatives of youth offices from Topola, Raca and Lapovo Gordana Djordjevic, Nikola Stojanovic and Aleksandar Popovic, members of municipal councils of Knic, Raca, Batocina and Lapovo and a UNDP representative for Serbia Davor Salom, and student organizations’ representatives.

Minister Proposes Wide Consultative Process Regarding Legal Regulations on Youth

15th January - The fifth meeting concerning the preparation of legal regulations on youth was held on 14 January 2010 at the Palace of Serbia, when the Minister of Youth and Sport, Snezana Samardzic Markovic, mentioned the arguments in favour of proposing a wide consultative process in the preparation of the law, relying on good experiences of preparing the National Youth Strategy of the Republic of Serbia adopted in 2008, which was declared an example of good practice by the Council of Europe and became a model recommended by the European Union officials in the field of youth policy.

EPAS Delegation Visits Serbia

9th July 2009 - The delegation of the Council of Europe visited Serbia on 8th and 9th July 2009 to agree on the organization of the Conference “Fight against Racism and Discrimination through the Promotion of Diversity in Sport” to be organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with EPAS Committee (Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport) and the Council of Europe in October.

Minister of Youth and Sport Meets the Newly Appointed Ambassador of Italy


23rd June  2009 - Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic Markovic talked to the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Serbia Armando Varricchio about big forthcoming sports events and increasing cooperation concerning youth policy.
