100th Youth Office Opened

9th November 2009 - The Minister of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia, Snezana Samardzic Markovic, and the Mayor of Krusevac, Desimir Pavlovic, opened the hundredth local youth office in Serbia. Only a few hours earlier, the 99th youth office in Brus had been opened.

26th October 2009 - In honour of the victory of Natalija Premovic, grammar school student from Nis, at the competition organized by the Council of Europe “How do you Imagine the European Citizen of the Future”, the Ministry of Youth and Sport publishes the integral version of her notes at its internet presentation.

Two New Local Youth Offices Opened in One Day

On Wednesday, September 9th 2009, 92nd and 93rd youth office were ceremonially opened in Kikinda and Golubac.

Achievements of our Students at the Imagine Cup Competition Presented

Microsoft Company organised a media conference on the occasion of our students’ achievements in the world finals of the international student Imagine Cup technology competition, held in Egypt at the beginning of July. BrainWave team members were greeted with loud applause, as well as the students of Kragujevac University, Vukasin Cirovic and Veljko Dimovic, who won second place in Live technologies category. Beside them, Jelena Crnoglavac and Arso Vukicevic were also team members.

Youth Office Opened in Velika Plana

19th August 2009 - General Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sport Suzana Sulejic opened a youth office in Velika Plana on August 17th. She emphasized the basic role of youth offices, efforts to improve social life of young people at local level, and invited young people to involve themselves in decision-making processes important for their future. Opening of the youth office is the result of local youth initiative and local self-government support, while the Ministry of Youth and Sport financially supported furnishing the premises with 372 860 dinars. Young people in Velika Plana now have the chance to actively participate in the implementation of youth policy.
